Need veteran healthcare? Start here
Finding the right healthcare pathway can be difficult when chronic pain, mental health concerns, DVA claims, GP referrals, eligibility and daily life all need to be managed at the same time.
TVH Outpost Gold Coast is designed to make that first step clearer. Our Southport base gives Gold Coast veterans a local access point into a broader model of veteran medical care.
It begins with our service-informed GP who can help assess what is happening, identify the next step and connect you with appropriate services through the Total Veteran Healthcare network.
You do not need to know exactly what service you need before getting in touch. The first step is simply telling us what is going on, so our team can help guide what happens next.
What’s available at TVH Gold Coast?
We offer coordinated care for veterans backed by the extensive national Total Veteran Healthcare network.
GP care for veterans
Veteran-informed GP care helps identify your health needs, understand your service history, review current concerns and coordinate referrals to the right services. This GP is a central point of care across physical health, mental health, DVA support and longer-term treatment planning.

DVA healthcare
TVH supports eligible DVA White Card and Gold Card holders, helping you understand available healthcare pathways, access appropriate referrals and coordinate funded care where eligibility and clinical need apply.

Chronic pain support
Persistent pain can affect movement, sleep, mental health, work, family life and daily function. We treat chronic pain and have in-house Pain Specialists who meet the DVA’s new requirements. Our chronic pain services help with assessment, treatment planning, medication review where clinically appropriate, and referral into broader pain management pathways.

Mental health and psychiatry in-house support
Our GP-led model enables veterans to access mental health support, including psychology pathways and in-house psychiatry where clinically appropriate. This may include support for PTSD, anxiety, depression, adjustment after service or other mental health concerns.

Coordinated care planning
Coordinated care helps bring your GP, allied health providers, specialists and support services into one connected system, meaning everyone’s on the same page and you don’t need to keep repeating your story.
DVA claim medical reports
TVH can support veterans who require psychiatry reports, GP reports, DVA claim medical reports or other clinical documentation to support a DVA claim pathway.
Fast access to 20+ services
Through the broader TVH network, we connect veterans with physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, dietetics, psychology or other services based on clinical need.
Face-to-face and telehealth
Appointments are available in person at Broadwater Specialist Centre in Southport or telehealth may be used for eligible appointments when it is clinically appropriate.

Can families or carers contact TVH on behalf of a veteran?
Yes, families and carers often make the first contact with us on behalf of a veteran. We can explain the process and next steps, hopefully making it easier for the veteran to get started.
Does TVH Gold Coast support veterans outside Southport?
Yes. TVH Gold Coast supports veterans across the Gold Coast. Depending on the care required, support can involve in-person care at Southport or referral into the wider Total Veteran Healthcare network.
