Take One Step. The First One.

This January, commit to taking one step – the first one.

The new year is often seen as a time to make big, new changes; commit to a new exercise regime, start a strict new diet, stop binge watching tv, stop doing things that are bad for you and start doing things that are good for you – change yourself. Dive in, take the leap, grab the bull by the horns.

Sometimes wholesale change is exactly the thing we need. We wake up one day and are simply done with an old way of being. When this happens, change can be so easy, we wonder why it took so long.

Other times, trying to change long-held habits cold turkey is not only difficult, but sets us up for failure. One stumble, one challenge, one overloaded moment, and before we know it, we’re back at square one and beating ourselves up for it.

The most important step in any journey is the first one, the rest will follow. This year, Total Veteran Healthcare would like to invite Australian Veterans to just commit to taking that first step – whatever it may be, towards better health.

What Does Your First Step Look Like?

For Australian Veterans, taking the first step towards better health can mean different things. It could be seeking better pain management that goes beyond pharmacology, including exercise physiology, psychology and innovative treatment. It could mean discussing escalation therapies for long term mental health conditions you’ve been enduring, or perhaps it’s getting around to that task you keep putting off – the one you’ve been meaning to start as soon as you have the energy – starting your DVA Claim.

Whatever that first step is for you, Total Veteran Healthcare is here to help, whenever you’re ready.
